Cybersecurity Ventures has released a new documentary, “History of Cryptography,” sponsored by Keyless, developers of an award-winning passwordless MFA solution.

The 9-minute and 26-second video went live on the Cybercrime Magazine YouTube Channel Aug. 1.

Paolo Gasti, CTO at Keyless and an associated professor at New York Institute of Technology, the lead character, takes us back to 100 BC for the earliest use of cryptography, touches on the use of cryptography during World War I and II, and then progresses to the critical importance of the first RSA Conference in 1991.

Various figures are covered in the documentary, including Phil Zimmerman, creator of Pretty Good Privacy (PGP).
